Lilianna Tudor

B. Des. Architecture
University of Florida
Class of 2025

As a recent architecture graduate, the first thing that I can say I have learned over these four years is time management. Reflecting on being a teacher's assistant; experiencing a full time academic schedule every semester; and having an undergraduate research project under my belt; I realize that this is a skill that found me. My work has spread across the architecture studio and my computer. However, schedules and calendars delegated my time through the strict project deadlines. Deadlines were frequent, yet we were taught one fundamental principle in the art of "making" and design: projects will never be finished. Every iteration of a project comes with a lifetime of potential, new ideas are never-ending. Therefore, I have learned to embrace finding comfort in the process above all else, and putting meaningful effort into each step of a project.
Outside of studio, I spent summers working on my architecture portfolio, while also working in the food-service industry. I have been working in restaurants since 2019, always leaving to go back to school. However, every day at work brought with it new experiences, in which I have learned skills to be forever grateful for. Coworkers and customers all have different days, such that conflict resolution and communication are two skills I exercised daily.
